AI Girlfriend Simulator
A simulator is a thing that models state, and that is the useful way to tell this apart from the two products it gets confused with. A visual novel has routes written in advance: your choices select a branch someone authored. A chatbot has no state at all: the persona lives in the prompt and dies with the tab. Girli sits in the third place - the character is a record that changes. 12 personality axes, 15 emotions with half-lives, 13 relationship dimensions, 11 typed memory kinds and 5 relationship stages, all written back after every exchange. Nobody authored the scene you are in. The first 10 messages on an account are free, no card, and past that it is premium. Every character is fictional and an adult.
Simulator, visual novel, chatbot
Worth separating properly, because the words are used interchangeably in this market and they describe genuinely different things.
- Visual novel or dating sim. Authored branches, finite endings, art per scene. Excellent at set pieces; the second playthrough is the same game. Nothing here reaches its production values and it never surprises you twice.
- Chatbot with a persona. A description in the system prompt. Fast, cheap, and stateless: close the tab and the relationship is gone. Most "AI girlfriend" products are this with a portrait attached.
- Stateful simulation. A stored character whose mood, memory and relationship values change and persist. No authored scenes, no reset. Failure mode: it can be slow and undramatic, because nothing is scripted to happen.
We are the third and the failure mode is real, so it is worth knowing which one you wanted before you judge the product.
What is actually simulated
Concretely, with the numbers that are in the engine rather than adjectives.
Personality is 12 numeric axes - warmth, dominance, jealousy, attachment speed, sexual openness, forgiveness, initiative, message length, humour, emotional stability, need for attention, boundaries - set by one of 10 presets plus a deterministic per-character offset, so two characters on the same preset are never identical.
Mood is 15 emotions, each with a half-life. Anger from an argument is not a flag that gets cleared; it decays on a clock, which is why an apology twenty minutes later lands differently from one three days later.
The relationship is 13 dimensions including trust, respect, admiration, fear of loss, irritation and grudge, and a stage from stranger to intimate. Memory is 11 typed kinds with a cap of 80 facts, plus a structured summary rewritten every 30 messages. Time is simulated too, at least in the ways that show: she has a schedule, and after 20 hours of silence she can open the conversation herself.
Virtual girlfriend, robot girlfriend, same machinery
These are the same search with different vocabulary, and the distinctions people expect between them mostly do not exist. A virtual girl, a virtual girlfriend, a digital companion: one machinery, four phrasings. A virtual girlfriend is this: a character on a screen with persistent state. A robot girlfriend, in the sense the phrase is used online, is the same thing with science-fiction framing - there is no hardware here and no service that credibly offers you any.
One honest note for the robot searches specifically. A large chunk of them are looking for an indie game with a dystopian robot girlfriend in the title, along with its mods and cheat codes. That is not us and we do not host it. If the appeal was a character with a personality that pushes back, the closest thing here is the confident preset (dominance 75, boundaries 70) or tsundere.
What is not simulated, so you know the edges
The list matters more than the feature list, because this is where products oversell.
- Nothing outside the conversation. She does not browse, does not read your email, does not know today's news unless you tell her.
- No unbounded memory. The fact store caps at 80 rows and old rows are displaced. The summary is a compression, and compression loses detail - the memory guide is explicit about what survives.
- No physical world. A schedule and an idle timer are the whole of the simulation of time. She is not somewhere.
- No human on the other end, ever, and the product never implies otherwise. That is a policy rather than a technical limit.
Starting from a character or from a situation
Two entry points, and they suit different people. From a character: 152 published characters across 27 categories on the roster, each with a written profile, sample dialogue and a gallery. Or build one - the creator runs look, style, personality, relationship and job, and the personality step is the one that decides how she behaves.
From a situation: the scenarios are openings with the scene pre-set, the interactive stories are 4 choice-driven ones, and roleplay chat is the open-ended version. People who bounce off a blank first message usually do better starting from a scene.
Cost and the age line
The first 10 messages on an account are free with no card. It is a total for the account rather than a daily allowance and it does not refill; past it, chat is premium. Photos are 1 per day free and 8 per day on premium, and that cap is genuinely daily.
Girli is adults only. Every character is fictional, generated and depicted as an adult, and nothing framed as underage is generated or discussed - see the content policy.
AI Girlfriend Simulator FAQ
What does an AI girlfriend simulator actually simulate?
State. 12 personality axes, 15 emotions with half-lives, 13 relationship dimensions, 11 typed memory kinds and 5 stages, all persisted between sessions and rewritten after each exchange.
Is this a dating sim with routes?
No. There are no authored branches and no endings. That is the trade: nothing is scripted to happen, so it can be slow, and in exchange the second week is not the first week again.
Is it free?
The first 10 messages on an account are free, as a one-off total rather than a daily allowance. After that, chat is premium. Photos are 1 per day free and 8 per day on premium.
Is there a robot or hardware version?
No. Robot girlfriend is science-fiction framing for the same software. Many of those searches are looking for an unrelated indie game, which we do not host.
What does the simulation not cover?
Anything outside the conversation: no browsing, no access to your accounts, no world model. Memory is capped at 80 facts with a summary every 30 messages, and there is never a human on the other end.
