Copyright and Content Complaints
Updated 10 September 2026. Girli generates its own images and does not host a public gallery of user uploads, so copyright complaints are rare - but the route exists and it is short. Everything on this page goes to one address: support@girli.app.
What we act on
- Copyright. Material on the service that copies a work you own or represent.
- Your likeness. A character or image that depicts a real, identifiable person - you, or someone you act for - without their consent. This is banned outright and does not need a copyright argument.
- Intimate imagery without consent. Treated as the most urgent category there is. It is removed on sight and the account responsible is closed.
- Trademark. Use of a mark you own in a way that misleads.
What the notice must contain
- Your name, and who you act for if it is not yourself.
- A description of the work or the person concerned.
- The exact address on girli.app where the material appears, precise enough for us to find it.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised.
- A statement that the information is accurate and that you are entitled to act.
- Your electronic signature - typing your full name is enough.
An incomplete notice slows everything down: without an address we cannot find the material, and without a statement of authority we cannot act on it.
What happens next
We confirm receipt, and we aim to review within five working days; non-consensual intimate imagery and anything suggesting a minor are looked at the same day. If the complaint holds, the material is removed and, where the rules were broken deliberately, the account goes with it. We tell the person who posted it what was removed and why, unless the law says otherwise.
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, write to the same address with the material, the reason, and your consent to be contacted about it. Repeat, deliberate infringement ends an account permanently.
Bad-faith notices
Sending a knowingly false complaint can make you liable for the costs it causes. Please only file one about material you genuinely have rights in.
