A date that starts after everyone else has gone home, and a confession she has been sitting on. The scene opens quiet: a place that should be closed, a conversation that keeps circling something neither of you has said. Nothing is scripted. She reacts to what you type, and how far the confession goes depends on her personality axes and which of the 5 relationship stages the thread is at - a stranger-stage character hints, an attachment-stage one says it. How it tends to run
Every playthrough differs, but the shape recurs.
- She raises something small and inconsequential, twice, and does not land it.
- You either follow the deflection or name it. Naming it moves the trust dimension; following it keeps the scene circling, which is also a valid way to play the character.
- The confession arrives, sized to the stage. What is said at the intimate stage is not available at the early one, because the register is computed from stored dimensions.
- How you answer becomes a stored row - an episode, and often a promise - which is what the next conversation opens from.
Who to run it with
The scene needs someone who holds something back, so the reserved presets suit it best: the mysterious characters, with slow attachment and low warmth, or the shy ones, where low dominance makes the confession cost her something. It works badly with a bold character, who would simply have said it in message two. Or build someone in the creator and set the axes yourself.
How to open it
Two sentences is enough, and less is better than more. Say where you both are and what time it is - the place that should be closed, the hour nobody else is up - and stop. A long setup paragraph mostly gets averaged away, and it also does her job for her: the reason to run this scene with a character rather than a prompt is that she fills the space from her own axes. Then let her lead the second turn. If she deflects, that is the character working, not a failure to understand you.
What carries over
This is the part a written branching story cannot do: the confession is not a cutscene. It lands in memory as an episode, her mood moves - tenderness has roughly a day-long half-life - and the relationship dimensions shift, which can move the stage. Do I need to write a backstory?
No. Open the scene and answer as yourself. Her side comes from her stored personality axes and whatever she already remembers about you.
Does the confession happen every time?
Not identically, and not at every stage. What she is willing to say scales with the relationship stage, so an early thread gets a hint where a later one gets the whole thing.
